My Mom

Over the weekend I went to go see the movie 'because I said so' with my mom. I was so scary how much the mother-daughter pair in that movie were like my mother and I. One of the first scenes where they are rearranging furniture and ending up putting it right back where it originally was is exactly like us. The similarities were unnerving, and we could not stop laughing the whole movie. I definatly want to see that again.

No Time

This new assignment where we have to pick a novel and create a new cover is becoming more and more challenging and making me realize that I have no time anymore to read! I love reading! Over the summer I read a new book about once a week, but now it seems like I don't ever have any time for that anymore. Now I am realizing that I cant even remember what the books are about because it was so long ago. I am thinking I might have to re-read one for this project, which is fine by me, but that is still incredibly pathetic.

Snow

I loved being home and seeing my family, but now it is time to go back and I am stuck because of the snow storm. I must admit I am not mad by any means, but It still sucks that now I have to drive home early monday and attempt to go to class when I get back.

Family

I am a very family oriented person, and for me, not seeing my family since winter break is way to long of time without them. That is why I am so excited to go home this weekend. I think my family is more excited to see my new puppy rather then see me, but thats ok, ill forgive them for now. My dad called and said that he is really excited to see me, and has a bunch of plans for all of us. I cant wait!

the joys of work

You know that feeling when you have been hit by a train? That is how I feel every sunday morning (including today) after my night of work on saturday. I work for 12 hours where i am surrounded by smoke and covered in beer. I have to deal with drunk people spilling and breaking things. Then when i am finally done cleaning up the place (including when people throw up in the bathroom) I go home and have to shower because grime is caked on my skin and I feel disgusting. Then I have to wake up early because I need to make sure im tired for sunday night, so I get enough sleep because monday sucks.

Ouch!

Four years ago, my brother was playing football at recess and knocked out his four front teeth. He had to have them wired back in. Two weeks after he had them wired in, he was playing basketball and went to dunk the ball. He got the braces caught on the net and ripped them back out. They were able to put three of the four back in. As for the last one, they had to give him a fake tooth. Well now four years later, he is finally old enough to get a permanent tooth put in. Today he went to the dentist to have them put a metal rod in his gums which takes five months to heal, and then they can place the tooth around the rod. Luckily the surgery went well today and he is doing great, apparently asking for a wendys frosty.

New Puppy!

This weekend I got a new puppy! I am so excited because I have always wanted a dog. I used to beg my parents to get a dog, and they always told me that it would be to much work. However, the month after I moved out to go to school they got a dog. So now I have one of my own. Her name is Bear. She is a Lahsa-poo which is a Lahsa-apsa and a poodle, which I think are two of the ugliest dogs, but they made the cutest little puppy.

Super Bowl

I really hate the super bowl. Im not all that thrilled about football to begin with. I normally watch it for the commercials and tonight I only enjoyed two of them. The Blockbuster commercial and the rock/paper/scissors budweiser. I felt as if none of the others stood out, or were things that I have seen before. Plus, the bears lost. What a waste of time!

London

Today I was accepted into the Richmond University Study Abroad Program for this summer in London and I am very excited! Now I have to start to get everything in order. Starting with my passport which will be a pain in the ass considering it will take at least six weeks for me to re-new it. I better get started!

Friends

I have the most amazing friends. I am so proud of all of them. Dowdakin is currently taking a semester off of Dartmouth to complete an internship in chicago. John is studying over in newcastle, england with the designers of apple products. Laura is studying in Madrid, Spain in all spanish classes. Lauren is studying in florence, Italy. and Clark is getting his music career off of the ground. He is constantly playing shows and creating more and more interest in his work. He just recently launched a website for his music (www.clarkrichard.com). It is so funny to think of us as little 13 year olds running around compared to all of us now.
